Mauritius: the Constance Festival Culinarie – Sarah Scaparone returns in March

The one in Mauritius was, without a shadow of a doubt, one of the most beautiful professional experiences of my life for many reasons, frst of all the possibility of getting closer to the story of this great French chef of whom I had read and re-read in what, for me , remains the best book ever: The Perfectionist which was written by Rudolph Chelminski ; an intimate and personal volume on the chef ' s life that is inexorably intertwined with that of the history of the Michelin Guide and the cuisine of France . This year then, it is twenty years since Loiseau ' s death(which caused a great stir because it was suicide) and I admit that I would very much like to be able to go to Saulieu soon where his La Côte d ' Or is still open and shines with two Michelin stars.
