From June 27 to July 1, 2024, the resort of the lifestyle brand C Resorts in Palmar, on the east coast of Mauritius, will host the best international kitesurfers and water sports lovers. Energy, leisure and adrenaline: a whirlwind of emotions will leave those who decide to admire the amazing vaults between sky and sea of the kitesurfng champions from the beach and the most adventurous guests who will enter the waves breathless. Kitesurfng will make its debut at the 2024 Olympics, with Formula Kite, a specialty in which hydrofoil (the board – unidirectional – is connected to a submerged dinghy by means of a mast, and rises above the water, as soon as you start planing, leaving only the dinghy submerged below the surface) and kite foils (the sail) of varying sizes are used. A recognition, the Olympic admission, almost due, for a discipline that since the end of the 90s has spread very quickly all over the world, thanks to the ease with which you learn how to practice it, the speed with which you glide (kitesurfng is the fastest means of sailing on the water), the possibility of being practiced in any wind condition, from the most extreme to the lightest winds. Outside of Formula Kite, a feature that excites Kitesurfers, especially those who use bidirectional boards, is that of being able to perform evolutions – tricks – that make up freestyle, the most spectacular discipline of this sport.

The C Kite Festival In anticipation of the Olympics, freestyle enthusiasts gathered from 27 to 30 June, in the southern hemisphere, for a kite festival hosted at C Mauritius, the frst property of C Resorts, the sister lifestyle brand of the award-winning hotel group Constance Hotels & Resorts , on the east coast of Mauritius, in one of the most sought-after spots for kitesurfers from all over the world.

To rush to the call of Antoine Auriol, former surfer, kitesurfer winner of the Professional World Tour in 2010, documentary flmmaker and digital content creator, currently resident at C Mauritius, athletes of the caliber of the English champion Tom Court, world champion in 2023 (Fliteboard specialty) and freeride specialist, the young Spanish champion Noah Nicolas, the French Edgar Ulrich, Junior World Champion in 2018, Louka Pitot 5 times French Champion and two-time Junior World Champion, as well as hundreds of amateur practitioners, in love with this discipline. Love and respect for nature Antoine Auriol, the true soul of the festival, explained how the values of kitesurfng of community, love and respect for nature, fun and competition, are the same that are found in the value system of C Mauritius, a resort that aims to promote sustainability, grow the local community, put it in contact with visitors, allow its guests to enjoy and enjoy one of the most beautiful places in the world, in a respectful and absolutely non-invasive way, in an elegant environment, but at the same time informal and fun.
