Kitesurfng will make its debut at the 2024 Olympics, with Formula Kite, a specialty in which hydrofoil (the board – unidirectional – is connected to a submerged dinghy by means of a mast, and rises above the water, as soon as you start planing, leaving only the dinghy submerged below the surface) and kite foils (the sail) of varying sizes are used. A recognition, the Olympic admission, almost due, for a discipline that since the end of the 90s has spread very quickly all over the world, thanks to the ease with which you learn how to practice it, the speed with which you glide (kitesurfng is the fastest means of sailing on the water), the possibility of being practiced in any wind condition, from the most extreme to the lightest winds. Outside of Formula Kite, a feature that excites Kitesurfers, especially those who use bidirectional boards, is that of being able to perform evolutions – tricks – that make up freestyle, the most spectacular discipline of this sport.
