Legends Tour: Bjørn confirms legend status in Mauritius

Legends Tour season ranking goes to South African Kingston James Kingston had started the week at the top of the season leaderboard and was keen to end the week there and win the John Jacobs Trophy as well . But he got of to a bad start and played a 74 on the frst lap. Instead of hanging his head, he responded with a great performance. With rounds of 65 and 64 he secured second place, confrming his status as number 1 of the 2021/2022 season.

The South African said: "It's amazing considering we've played all year and it all came down to the last tournament, last round and last couple of holes. I am very proud and very relieved. I dug deep this weekend and now it's just amazing.”

The man closest to him in the rankings, Brazilian Adilson Da Silva , was able to console himself with the Barry Lane Rookie of the Year trophy .

From a German-speaking point of view , Thomas Gögele (T12) and Markus Brier (T21) achieved respectable results.
